The Korean Liver Transplantation Society (KLTS) welcomes international scholars who wish to experience and about liver transplantation at world-class hospitals in Korea, offering abundant opportunities, extensive resources, and top-notch faculty.

 

Through observation, participation, and mentorship, fellows will gain the knowledge, experience, and skills to apply and share with colleagues upon returning to their home countries.



 

Eligibility

Liver Transplantation associated scholars
(surgeon, hepatologist, radiologist, pathologist, anesthesiologist,
or coordinators)

 

※Applicants who have ever been selected for the KLTS fellowship are not eligible to apply again.

Duration of the Training

2 weeks

*The training period must include August 28(Fri)-29(Sat), and the trainee is required to attend LT Updates 2026.

Financial support from KLTS

ü  KRW 1,000,000 (including accommodation, ground transportation, meals, and miscellaneous expenses)

ü  Flight expenses

ü  Complimentary registration for LT Updates 2026

*A letter of recommendation should be written by a senior faculty member within the applicant’s department.

1. Purpose
The Korean Liver Transplantation Society (hereinafter, KLTS) provides its members with customized services through KLTS’s website. KLTS requires the submission of personal information to grant access to members-only pages and to support members’ academic activities.
2. Collecting your personal information
The personal information required when applying for KLTS membership includes name, email address, password, institution/organization, department, country, mobile number, and other relevant information.
KLTS collects members’ personal information through its website.
3. Storing of your personal information
KLTS will retain your personal information to process and report on tasks requested by members, and to issue operational reports. In addition, it may be used to provide you with useful
KLTS services such as conference updates and newsletters. Once the purpose of collecting and using personal information has been fulfilled, or upon termination of the operational agreement,
the information will be retained for a certain period in accordance with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations. Thereafter, it will be securely destroyed.
4. Sharing and Provision of Personal Information
This information will be used exclusively by the KLTS organizing committee and will not be disclosed to any third parties.
However, exceptions may be made in the following cases:
- When disclosure is required by law, or when requested by an investigative agency in accordance with legally prescribed procedures and methods for investigative purposes.
- We will notify you of the details of the third party and the scope of the entrusted work, and obtain your prior consent when necessary.
5. Information on the Use of Automatic Data Collection Tools and the Right to disable Them
We install and operate automated data collection tools, such as cookies and sessions, which temporarily store and access your information. You may disable the storage of all cookies
